The Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) holds its Annual General Meeting next week.
It is on Thursday, June 9 at the ROCK head office, 471 Pearl St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the event running from 7-9 p.m.
The keynote speaker will be Cathy Dyer, a 27-year-old survivor of the child welfare and mental health systems. As the founding leader of the New Mentality organization, Dyer works with youth who speak out about the stigma associated with mental health issues.
Also speaking will be Grade 9 student Alyssa Logan of Iroquois Ridge High School in Oakville.
