Reach Out Centre for Kids/Ontario Early Years, Burlington would like to acknowledge and thank The Institute for Cross-cultural Exchange for providing us with 300 copies of “THE BOY WITHOUT A NAME” by Idries Shah. Copies of this book have been distributed to many programs throughout the region of Halton. The Institute for Cross-cultural Exchange is dedicated to promoting cross-cultural education. It encourages learning about other cultures and understanding between them. It’s current priority is to donate high quality illustrated folk tales from the Middle East and Central Asia to literacy programs helping children in need.

On February 26, 2010 the Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore held a Curling Bonspiel in support of ROCK.  Participants enjoyed a fun-filled day of curling followed by a beautiful dinner, silent auction and gaming tables at the newly renovated Burlington Golf and Country Club.  The event raised $11,000.00 on behalf of ROCK.

On Good Friday, April 2rd, 2010 the wonderful people at Foot Tools Inc. facilitated their annual road race and for the second year in a row it was in support of ROCK. The weather was beautiful and there were hundreds of little bunnies out for the children's Bunny Hop in the morning. This was followed by 5K and the 10K races. This event was very well participated and we are very grateful and proud to be associated with such a great event for the community.
